Sarah's Must-Have Social Media Equipment

Ringlight

Lighting makes a huge difference when it comes to the quality of your social media content. If there is no natural lighting shining through the windows, the last thing you want to do is turn on un-flattering yellow kitchen lights. A ring light/tripod also allows you to be hands-free if you are demonstrating a product or service or are following the latest TikTok dance trend.

There are a wide variety of ring lights available now. My first was about $30 and lasted forever. However, for better light and more stability, I would opt for this ring light linked below.

Microphone

Microphones for social media videos are essential. If there is any background noise like wind or cars, I highly recommend using a mic. When you are speaking to your audience, the quality of your audio will make the difference in someone staying to watch or scrolling right past.

I prefer this clip-on mic linked below. You don't have to deal with an annoying wire or holding anything as you speak.

Hard drive

Are you tired of getting the "Storage Full" notification on your phone? I can relate to that! Flash drives and hard drives are such a great way to store photos and videos that you don't need immediate access to. Larger files like professional photos and videos can cause your devices to slow in their processes. Click on this image to check out my favorite.

Wireless Earbuds

I wear my AirPods every day for hours on end (editing videos or listening to True Crime Podcasts). The noise-canceling feature is amazing and keeps me focuses no matter where I am working. I've used lots of other brands and have found these to be my favorite, as well as the brand, Raycon.

I am always open to trying out new gear and equipment so please let me know what's made it to your favorites list.
