Social Media Marketing For New Real Estate Agents

Congratulations! You're building your business as a real estate agent and I'm so excited for you. You've spent so many hours learning the ins and outs of real estate. Open houses, contracts and closings? EASY. But now for the hard part -- finding new clients.

Building your marketing strategy takes time and effort. I'm here to break it down for you in just a few simple steps. I want you to avoid the common occurrence of marketing toward other agents. Instead, I want to teach you how to market toward your next dream client.

I am providing you with 3 steps to get started. This is a quick overview of the process and can definitely appear overwhelming. Please reach out with any questions or concerns of your own.

Step 1: Build your brand. Nail down your colors, fonts, and logos. Then, use them everywhere. Your social media pages, website, printouts, and merchandise should all reflect your personal brand. We want our dream client to know in an instant that something belongs to you. This will help your brand recognition and awareness around your community.

Step 2: Create your dream client persona. It can help to map this out on a sheet of printer paper or a whiteboard. Whom are you trying to reach? Write down these questions along with the answers:

  • Name of dream client:

  • Where do they live?

  • What does their family look like?

  • What are their hobbies?

  • What are their last 5 Google searches?

  • What are 3 of their goals?

  • What is something they struggle with?

  • What is their involvement in social media?

Step 3: Now we know who we're speaking to, HOORAY! Keep this close to you so you never lose sight and begin speaking to your friends rather than your dream client. It's time to create our strategy.

  • What are your business goals when it comes to social media for real estate marketing (ex. gain followers, generate leads, get involved in community events?)

  • Who is your competition? What are they doing to grow their online presence. (Chances are they are expressing vulnerability and trustworthiness)

  • Set up or update your social media accounts depending on where your dream client can be found. Use professional photos, keyword optimization, and your personal branding.

  • Create meaningful content that is genuine and the opposite of spammy. Allow your audience to get to know you a little bit so they feel comfortable picking up the phone to call. Share your honest tips, helpful resources, and shining personality.

  • This will take time. Stay consistent and pay attention to what's working and what's not. After 3 months you can audit your success and strategize from there. Don't worry, you've got this!

If this is a topic you would like extra support on, email hello@sarahmariesocialmedia. I look forward to meeting you and chasing that dream client together.
